Burning Man is not a festival. Burning Man is a community. A temporary city. A global cultural movement based on 10 practical principles.

02 — Where: Nevada
“Burning Man will be held in the Black Rock Desert, 120 miles north of Reno, Nevada. The towns of Empire and Gerlach serve as guardians of the desert region”
03 — When: Last week of August
Every Year Burning Man is held on the last week of August running into Labor Day weekend.
Burning Man is always held the week prior to and including Labor Day weekend. In 2020 the dates are August 30 through September 7.
04 — Who: Burning is For Everyone
Burning Man is for Everyone. However, it’s historically been known (and seen) as an event for the white demographic who have a specific lifestyle. Black Burner Project is not only here to prove that misconception wrong, but to also encourage more people of color to explore this unique event and bring light to its loving, inclusive and welcoming space.
05 — Closest Airport: Reno
The closest commercial Airport is Reno Int’l 127 miles away. People arrive by car, RV, flight.
06 — Tickets: 4 Sale date options
Burning Man has several ticket sales dates. Its not always easy, but the options are out there. Tickets do sell out; quickly. Keep updated on ticket sale dates ahead of time.

07 — What is the weather like?
Unpredictable is the name of this game, day to day. Year to year. However, what I’ve experienced thus far is hot days, Cool nights, chilly nights, warm nights and Dust storms.

www.burningman.org. Start here. Create a profile. It provides tons of information. And Besides, a burner profile is a must for ticket purchases- so mind as well get a head start.
